COOMBER, Gary Lynne CD
With great sadness we announce Gary’s passing on April 28, 2008 at the age of 53 while holding the hand of his best friend and loving wife of 24 years, Roberta (nee Holden).
Gary was a proud father who gave friendship and unconditional love to his 2 sons, Bob and wife Amie Coomber of the prairies, Eric Coomber studying in Austrailia, loving grandpa to Kadie and Ryan Coomber of the prairies. Much loved son of Shirley and the late Henry (Harry) Coomber of Leamington. Friend and brother to Mark Coomber of Ottawa, Judy Coomber of Fort Frances, Dave and Mary Coomber of Ottawa. Friend and brother-in-law of Verna and Bob Sharen, Grand Bend, Mabel and Sam Ford, Windsor, Doris and Wayne Izsak, Essex, Helen Cox, Thamesford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by longtime friends Dan and Belinda Howell and his feline friends Mister and Misty.
Gary missed being able to work with his friends at Buske Lines Canada especially John Howell and Deb France. Gary’s two passions in life were his family and airplanes, he became a civilian instructor of the model building program at Leamingtons 535 Air Cadet Squardron in 1980. He became an Officer Cadet in Jan 1991 and earned the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in May 1993. Gary received his Queens commission in May 1992 then he went on to earn the ranks of Lieutenant in Oct 1994 and Captain in Oct 1996. He also served as past CO at the 535 Sqn. And will be sadly missed by fellow officers and instructors, Capt. Gaye Findlay, CI Dennis Kasarada, CI John Edwards and Lt. Ed Bellaire and Ocdt Justin Hall. Gary lost his 8 year battle with 4 brain tumors.
Visiting on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Gary’s Life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. from the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Essex with Reverend Brenda Woodall officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coomber children’s travel fund.

PRINGLE, Kelly Ann
49, of Delray Beach, Florida. Passed away suddenly April 9, 2008 at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Florida, born Windsor, Ontario.
Beloved daughter of Paul and Barbara Pringle. Leaves loving brother David (Debbie). Predeceased by grandparents Glen and Lorena Kirk, Jack and Muriel Pringle, London, Ont. Survived by nephews Joshua and Justin and niece Jaylene Pringle, Huntsville, Ontario and many loving cousins and friends.
Kelly was cremated and services were held at Del Lago Funeral Home, Lake Worth, Florida, April 14, 2008.
Funeral Services will be held Sat. Apr. 26 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. West View Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland North, London, Ontrio. Interment in family plot, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the USA and Canada Cancer Societies would be appreciated by the family.
We will all miss her humour, her smile and laugh.
God saw that she was suffering, a cure was not to be found and so He put His arms around her and whispered in her ear, “Come with me, Amen.”
SPENCE, J. Douglas
72 yrs., peacefully at his home in Kingsville on Fri. Apr. 25, 2008.
Loving husband of Eleanor (Alexander). Dear father of Jim Lumby and his wife Susan of Durham, the late Linda Biesenthal-Penazza (2008) and her husband Luigi Penazza of Bondhead, and Dawn and her husband Fred Janisse of Essex. Beloved grandfather to five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Doug was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #201 of Essex.
The family would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to Ken, Cheryl, and Annette of St. Elizabeth’s Health Care and to Dr. David Osborn for the compassion and care given to Doug. The children also wish to acknowledge “Mom” for her unselfish love and devotion in taking care of “Dad” at home over the last five months.
Funeral Service was held at the Hammond Funeral Home in Leamington on Tues. Apr. 29 with Rev. Colin Swan officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Leamington.
